Emma Kenny, the beloved psychologist and true crime expert who has become a familiar face on the ITV breakfast show 'This Morning,' has joyfully announced the arrival of her fourth child. The 52-year-old shared this wonderful news on social media, revealing that she and her 34-year-old husband, Pete, welcomed a baby girl named Ella-Grey at the Royal Bolton Hospital.

With this new addition to their family, Emma now has four children. Her other children include Tyde, who is 22 years old, Evan, aged 20, and Etta-Blue, her daughter born just last year in 2023. Emma’s heartfelt announcement came on Monday, July 1, when she expressed her excitement and surprise at having another daughter.

“Say hi to Ella-Grey! And then we were six! Say hello Ella-Grey! This morning she entered the world with a very loud cry,” Emma wrote alongside several charming photos from their time at the hospital. She also took a moment to praise the exceptional care provided by the staff at the Royal Bolton Hospital, stating, “The Royal Bolton hospital have been fantastic and ensured that we have both been looked after brilliantly.”

In her post, Emma reflected on her personal journey of loss and gratitude. She recently shared the heartbreaking news of her mother’s passing, emphasizing that it feels strange knowing that her youngest daughters will not have the opportunity to know their grandparents. This thought weighed heavily on her heart as she expressed how she felt 'blindsided' by the arrival of another girl. She elaborated, “They would have loved them as older my boys did before them. Ella-Grey has been lying on me all day, and she latched on immediately. She is as wonderful as I imagined she would be… but like her sister, I am blindsided that she is a girl.”

Emma poignantly reflected on her past trauma, including the devastating loss of her father, who took his life in 2019. “When my dad took his life, I never thought I would be happy again. But in truth, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ve learnt we are more than simply built to withstand suffering; we are programmed to learn, and grow, and develop courage through it,” she shared, highlighting her resilience and the positive transformation that came from her grief.

Emma also expressed her gratitude towards her supporters who have stood by her through difficult times and contributed to her professional growth. “Thank you to all of you who have spent years supporting me,” she wrote. “You stood beside me in the dark times and you gave me so many new career directions that these days I don’t need invites off the MSM! Thank you, all of you, for so much more than you could possibly know.”

The announcement was met with an outpouring of love and support in the comments section, with many of Emma’s famous friends and fans congratulating her on the arrival of Ella-Grey. Ruth Langsford from 'Loose Women' commented, “Congratulations both,” while singer Natasha Hamilton expressed her joy, saying, “So happy for you Emma - what a beautiful little girl, huge congratulations to you all xxx.”

Other well-wishes included messages like, “Massive congrats! You are such a massive inspiration,” from @pyrettablaze_art and “Huge congratulations to you both, beautiful name,” from @_mazlaa_. Emma’s friends and followers flooded her post with warmth, sharing in the joy of her family’s newest member.
