By David Phelan, Senior Contributor. As of July 3, new details have emerged regarding price reductions for Apple's latest iPhone models, specifically the much-anticipated iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The base model iPhone 16 Pro starts at $999, but savvy shoppers will find that purchasing through retailers like Amazon can yield substantial savings, especially on Renewed Premium devices. Unlike Apple, which does not typically offer discounts on new models, Amazon's price cuts present an attractive alternative for customers looking to save money.

Amazon's Renewed Premium condition is the highest standard of refurbished products available on the platform. According to Amazon, this classification signifies that the devices have undergone a rigorous inspection and testing process, including a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, replacement of any defective components, and a meticulous cleaning by qualified suppliers. Consequently, customers can expect screens free of scratches and bodies without cosmetic blemishes noticeable from a distance of 30 centimeters. Furthermore, these devices are fully functional and come with batteries retaining at least 90% of their original capacity.

Before the upcoming Prime Day sales event, prospective buyers can take advantage of the current offers on the iPhone 16 Pro, which is available in four colors and starts with a minimum storage option of 128GB. Pricing for the black titanium variant has dropped to $840, marking a significant reduction of $159 from its original price. The other color options include desert titanium at $848.44, natural titanium at $864.97, and white titanium at $869.99, all reflecting slight decreases from earlier June pricing.

For customers interested in higher storage capacities, the 256GB iPhone 16 Pro is priced at $1,099 new, with discounts translating to $936.55 for the black titanium model, $923.06 for the white titanium variant, a remarkable savings of over $175. Meanwhile, desert titanium is priced at $910.13, and natural titanium at $935. The 512GB options in Renewed Premium range from $1,089.97 for desert titanium, which is $209 less than the brand-new price, to $1,099.97 for white titanium, which is $10 more. Currently, black and natural titanium models are not available for this storage size.

For those considering the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which boasts a larger screen, it is available in three storage capacities, excluding the 128GB option. The 256GB Renewed Premium variant is priced at $1,099, offering a $100 discount from its new price of $1,199. However, the black titanium model is more expensive at $1,152.09. The 512GB model regularly costs $1,399 new, while the Renewed Premium prices for this size are $1,225 for both black titanium and white titanium, translating to a savings of $174 off the new price. Desert titanium comes in at $1,299.99, and natural titanium is slightly less at $1,279.

Finally, for consumers looking for maximum storage capacity, the 1TB model, which retails for $1,599 new, can be found in Renewed Premium for the best price of $1,420 in desert titanium and natural titanium colors, each yielding a savings of $179. The black titanium variant is the most expensive at $1,569.97, while white titanium is available for $1,459.
