Cyclist snatches handbag in Stourbridge from woman in car – CCTV appeal

A cyclist has snatched a handbag from an elderly pensioner in a car in the Black Country prompting police to issue a CCTV appeal.
The incident took place in Bridgnorth Road in Stourbridge shortly before midday on Thursday, March 27.
A cyclist has approached the woman in her 80s who was in her car.
They have then reached into the car and snatched her handbag before getting away.

Now West Midlands Police has issued an image of a person officers would like to speak to in connection with the snatch theft.
The image is a little blurry but shows a man dressed all in black, including grey trainers, but barring grey trainers.
They are riding a bike with a white frame and black handlebars and wheels.
In issuing the appeal, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Recognise this individual?
“We're looking for any information which might help identify them following a theft from a car in Stourbridge.
“Shortly before midday on 27 March, a woman in her 80s was approached while in her car in Bridgnorth Road by a person on a bicycle.
“The rider reached inside her car and snatched her handbag before making off."

The statement continued: “We're hoping someone might recognise this person or may have seen what happened.

“We know this isn't the clearest image, but we are hoping someone might know more about the theft.
