스트리밍하우스는 미네르바 대학교와 글로벌 런케이션 활성화를 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 지난 3월 27일 체결했다. 지난 수년간 워케이션(Work+Vacation)은 ESG 차원에서 기업과 지역을 연결하여 지역의 생활 인구를 확대하고 새로운 성장 모델을 만들어가는 근로 문화로 많은 주목을 받았고, 최근에는 워케이션을 넘어 런케이션(Learn+Vacation)이 새로운 주목을 받고 있다. 최근 한국에서는 코로나 이후 근로 환경의 변화와 함께 기업에서 적극적으로 워케이션을 도입하였고 올해부터는 정부부처 공무원들이 워케이션에 참여하며 지역의 생활인구 확대화 함께 새로운 성장 성장을 도모해 나가고 있다. 학생과 지역을 연결하는 런케이션이 지역의 또 다른 성장 모델로 자리매김할 수 있을지 기대가 되는 이유이다. 2020년 설립한 스트리밍하우스는 50여개 지자체와의 협업을 통해 1,000여 개의 기업들에게 워케이션 서비스인 ‘더휴일’을 제공하고 있는 워케이션 전문 스타트업이다. 미네르바 대학교는 2012년 설립 이후 전 세계에서 모인 학생들이 일곱 개 국가에서 체류하며 수업을 진행하는 미래형 교육 대학으로 주목받고 있으며, 넷플릭스 등 유수의 글로벌 기업과 협업을 함께 하고 있어 2022년부터 3년 연속 WURI 혁신대학 평가에서 세계 1위를 차지할 정도로 차별화된 교육 방식을 가지고 있다. 스트리밍하우스 신동훈 대표는 “지난 수년간 기업과 지자체의 워케이션 문화를 만들기 위한 노력을 기울여 왔다”면서, “워케이션의 궁극적인 목적이 기업과 지역을 연결하여 지역 상생을 도모하기 위함이라면 런케이션은 학생과 지역을 연결하여 새로운 생활 인구를 확대하고 지역에 대한 이해를 통해 향후 해당 지역에서의 취업과 창업 등으로 확대되어 정주 인구를 넓혀 나갈 수 있는 새로운 라이프스타일이라고 생각한다”고 말했다. 또 신 대표는 “작년부터 관심을 가지고 준비를 하게 되었는데 이 과정에서 미네르바 대학교와 많은 이야기를 나누며 공감대를 형성할 수 있었고 이번 협약을 통해 런케이션이라는 새로운 문화를 함께 만들 수 있는 기회를 가지게 되었다”고 밝혔다. 미네르바 대학교의 전략기획 총괄 김은정 디렉터는 “미네르바 대학교의 학생들은 한국을 포함하여 일본, 독일, 아르헨티나, 인도 등 7개 국가에서 체류하며 각 나라의 기업 및 기관들과 협업하고 있다”고 소개했다. 이어 “프로젝트를 수행하고 담당 교수와 함께 토론하는 교육 방식을 가지고 있으며, 현지 문화를 이해하고 체험하며 지역 사회 문제를 함께 해결해 나가기도 한다”고 말한 김 디렉터는 “런케이션이 아직은 학생들과 지역에 낯선 문화일 순 있지만 분명 이를 통해 미네르바 대학이 추구하는 혁신적인 교육 방향을 보다 의미 있게 만들어 갈 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다”고 덧붙였다. 관련 기사 더 보기 Like this: Like Loading...
